I am a Missouri native from Shelbina and a 1989 graduate from South Shelby High School. I was saved when I was nine years old in my parents living room and baptized that next Sunday morning. In 2000 I accepted the call to ministry and seminary that God had laid on my heart almost 11 years earlier. I graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006 & 2010, and I continue to be a lifelong learner as I attend Capital Seminary working on my PhD. I began bi-vocationally in the ministry in 2000 and have served as a worship pastor, youth pastor, and now senior pastor. God has blessed me with an incredible wife Lisa and four children, Liam, Colin, Annie, & Quinn. My desire as pastor is to love, lead, and feed God’s people always remembering that we are called to live for Him every moment of every day taking out the Gospel of hope found only in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Chris joined Central Baptist Church in November of 2010. He is originally from right here in good ole’ St. Louis, born in Florissant, MO. Chris and his wife, Jana, have been married since July of 2000, and have 3 children, Lydia, Reece, and Bennett. In his free time, Chris loves to spend time with his family and their 4 dogs (yes, it’s too many, but what do you do?) Also, Chris loves just about anything sports related! His passions are Baseball (Go Cards!) and Football (proud to be a Packer Backer!)
Chris graduated from Missouri Baptist College (now University) in 1998 with a B.A. in Christian Education, and then went on to graduate in 2001 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX) with a M.A. in Christian Education.
Chris began his calling as a Youth Pastor 16 years ago, and has loved every minute of it! He believes building relationships with Students is essential, and is passionate about teaching them to be the salt and light for Jesus that they are called to be in our culture today!
