We are pleased that Dr. David Sheppard has agreed to join us as interim pastor. His extensive experience will be a great benefit to the congregation as we transition to a new senior pastor. Please be in prayer for Pastor Sheppard, the church staff, the congregation and the pastor search committee as we seek the Lord’s will in search of a new pastor.
Pastor Chris joined Central Baptist Church in November of 2010. He is originally from right here in good ole’ St. Louis, born in Florissant, MO. Chris and his wife, Jana, have been married since July of 2000, and have 3 children, Lydia, Reece, and Bennett. In his free time, Chris loves to spend time with his family and their 4 dogs (yes, it’s too many, but what do you do?) Also, Chris loves just about anything sports related! His passions are Baseball (Go Cards!) and Football (proud to be a Packer Backer!)
Chris graduated from Missouri Baptist College (now University) in 1998 with a B.A. in Christian Education and then went on to graduate in 2001 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX) with an M.A. in Christian Education. He is currently enrolled at Southern Theological Seminary pursuing his Doctorate of Education in Family Ministry.
Chris began his calling as a Youth Pastor 18 years ago, and has loved every minute of it! Chris is the Associate Pastor of Students and Families at Central, and truly believes building relationships with Students and families is essential and is passionate about teaching them to be the salt and light for Jesus that they are called to be in our culture today! The families are the building block of the church, and it is vital to walk beside them in helping to nurture and disciple them!
