Get To Know Them

Senior Pastor Dennis Gard

Pastor Dennis joined Central Baptist Church in August of 2018.  He is originally from the Kansas City, MO area, but most recently came from North Park Baptist Church in Moberly, MO where he served for seven years.  Dennis and his wife, Lisa have been married since May of 1992 and have four sons, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Blake and Rafe.  In Dennis’ free time he enjoys fishing, hunting and target range activities, as well as spending time with his family.

Dennis graduated from the University of Missouri in KC in 1993 with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.  He then attended Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX) receiving his Masters of Divinity in 1996.

Dennis began his call at the age of 18, but spent the first 20 years doing bi-vocational work and serving God in the work place.  In 2005, he accepted a full-time position at North Park Baptist Church, Moberly, MO to serve as senior pastor.  Dennis enjoys theological discussions, teaching God’s word and delivering inspirational messages for God’s kingdom.

Associate Pastor Chris Greenhagen

Pastor Chris joined Central Baptist Church in November of 2010. He is originally from right here in good ole’ St. Louis, born in Florissant, MO.  Chris and his wife, Jana, have been married since July of 2000, and have 3 children, Lydia, Reece, and Bennett. In his free time, Chris loves to spend time with his family and their 4 dogs (yes, it’s too many, but what do you do?) Also, Chris loves just about anything sports related! His passions are Baseball (Go Cards!) and Football (proud to be a Packer Backer!)

Chris graduated from Missouri Baptist College (now University) in 1998 with a B.A. in Christian Education and then went on to graduate in 2001 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX) with an M.A. in Christian Education. He is currently enrolled at Southern Theological Seminary pursuing his Doctorate of Education in Family Ministry.

Chris began his calling as a Youth Pastor 18 years ago, and has loved every minute of it! Chris is the Associate Pastor of Students and Families at Central, and truly believes building relationships with Students and families is essential and is passionate about teaching them to be the salt and light for Jesus that they are called to be in our culture today! The families are the building block of the church, and it is vital to walk beside them in helping to nurture and disciple them!
